Jamaica 2004 was a blast! Nineteen young people left for the Caribbean to
serve, but all 19 came back transformed by the grace of Christ! Our theme
for Jamaica 2004 was One Passion and truly we saw passion
grow within each of our hearts for the God who loved us and did everything
to make us His!
Through the blazing passion that Christ drilled into our souls we were able
to do amazing things. The group worked on two widows' homes, remodeling,
constructing, roofing, painting and reinforcing the structures. We also
helped build a wall around the church building. Certainly the ministry that
impacted our team in the greatest way, was just the one-on-one contact with
the Jamaican people. We were able to share through a kid's club, home visits,
and Sunday worship.
We also got to know them well through games in the evening and working alongside
the people during the day. Three people were converted on the endeavor and
we saw the saints edified, the Gospel proclaimed to many, and personal growth
that comes with service and forgetting ourselves.
We would like to thank each of you who financially and prayerfully supported
the One Passion Team. Please keep us in prayer as we look to further
our ministry by presenting the glories of the Gospel of Jesus Christ next
summer!
